Spring production from large wire diameter

The machine purchased as part of the project is a WIM-14 CNC – servo-controlled CNC spring lathe coiling machine, exclusively designed and distributed by the Austrian Fortuna Federn GmbH. It is capable of producing right- or left-handed cylindrical compression, extension, torsion springs from EN 10270-1 DM spring steel wire with wire diameter of Ø6.00 – Ø14.00 mm.

Furthermore, springs between 24.00 and 200.00 mm outer diameter and with the free length of 700 mm the machine can operates in automatic mode and with the free length of 1400 mm in semi-automatic mode, with a hydraulic and automatic mandrel holder and an automatic external cutting unit (the cutting unit can also be used with a separate foot pedal). The machine includes the entire standard tool set, which covers the EN10270-1 DH quality wire size range. It also has the newest v800 CNC controller, the latest software installed and updated and a color touch screen for fast programming.
